Mohammad Umar s/o Altaf Hussain lodged an FIR against Harun, 28, s/o Zahur Mirasi resident of Faroq e- Azam colony, Mulatalai for allegedly firing a bullet towards him.

The complainant, Umar is a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Mullatalai and runs a travel agency. As per the FIR, the incident occured yesterday evening on 5th June. He alleged that today evening he was standing at the Mullatalai Churaha and got a call from the accused on his mobile, where the accused enquired about his whereabouts. Umar told him that he was standing near the Co-operative store at the Chauraha.

Within a few minutes the accused reached the spot with a friend on a bike and fired a shot at Umar with a revolver. When he tried to fire the second round, apparently the trigger got jammed. The first bullet had missed Umar and he jumped on the assailant and tried to wrest the gun from his hand.

The accused, Harun allegedly freed himself and ran away after he saw a crowd of people gathering on the spot.

After the incident Umar rushed to the police station and gave a written complaint about the mishap. The Police immediately rushed to the scene, started the investigation and launched a man hunt.

According to Umar “ Harun called on my mobile phone and told me that he is having a doubt that I am having an affair with Harun’s wife and started abusing me. Suddenly he put down the phone and after few minutes he appeared in front of me on a bike with his friend and shot a bullet at me but I managed to save myself.”
