SP’s Anti-Crime Drive solves various cases, 11 accused arrested

With the arrest of 11 accused on Thursday, Udaipur police succeeded in solving 11 various incidences of chain snatching, burglary and two-wheeler theft that had taken place in the city within the past few days. Police also recovered the ornaments and the motor bikes that had been stolen by the accused.

With the arrest of 11 accused on Thursday, Udaipur police succeeded in solving 11 various incidences of chain snatching, burglary and two-wheeler theft that had taken place in the city within the past few days. Police also recovered the ornaments and the motor bikes that had been stolen by the accused.

Additonal SP City Dr Rajesh Bhardwaj informed that a drive had been initiated by SP R.P Goyal against the increasing incidences of theft, chain snatching and other crimes in the city. Under this drive, teams at various police stations of the city including Ambamata Police Station, Ghanta Ghar Police station, Rishabhdeo police station and Hiran Magri Police station had participated and nabbed the accused.

In the series of cracking criminal incidences Ambamata police disclosed 3 incidences of crime including theft, burglary and chain snatching. The station police arrested 5 accused Mohsin, Firoz, Hakim alias Lukkha, Shakir alias Ghuda and Anoop.

Out of the total accused Mohsin, Firoz, Shakir and Hakim accepted committing incidences of theft of Rs.20,000 from a Timber shop and gold ornaments from a house at Mullatalai whereas their aid Anoop was booked for purchasing the looted gold chain. Ambamata police has recovered that ornaments and cash from the arrested accused.

Adding to the drive, Ghanta Ghar police nabbed a habitual offender Balbeer Singh for targeting a woman of Kanji Ka Hatta area on 9th August for her gold chain. Balbeer’s name came in light during the interrogation of Anoop who was arrested by the Ambamata police. Anoop informed the interrogators that he had purchased the gold chain from an accused identified as Balbeer. Acting upon the information, the Ghanta Ghar police nabbed the accused, said AdSP Bhardwaj.

Besides Ambamta and Ghanta Ghar police stations Hiran Magri and Rishabhdeo police also put in their efforts to make the SP’s anti crime drive successful by arresting 5 accused that were involved in day light loot and bike theft. The cops also recovered the stolen bikes from the arrested accused and booked them under various sections of IPC, AdSP informed.
