Surajpol Police arrests Mobile Loot accused
Surajpol police arrested a habitual offender of the city Thursday for snatching a mobile phone from a man in broad day light, on 20th January. Police also nabbed the man who had purchased the mobile phone for Rs. 500 from the accused. Both are in police custody while one of their accomplices is still on run.
Surajpol police arrested a habitual offender of the city Thursday for snatching a mobile phone from a man in broad day light, on 20th January. Police also nabbed the man who had purchased the mobile phone for Rs. 500 from the accused. Both are in police custody while one of their accomplices is still on run.
Accused Mohammad Vajid of Diwan Shah Colony was arrested after his name came out in the light, post investigation of the mobile loot. Police received a clue about Vajid and his aid Hakim Lukka who had looted the victim Sanjay Meena of Titardi. The other accused Lukka managed to flee, informed SHO Ramesh Kumar.
Ramesh further informed that in the initial investigation, accused Vajid confessed stealing mobile phone and then selling it to Ajay Ghacchi of Ghacchi Wada for Rs. 500. Acting upon the information, the police immediately rushed to the area and nabbed Ajay.
The main accused Vajid has around 12 criminal cases against him at various police stations of the city, said SHO.
