A businessman from Surat was robbed by four to five men at MB Hospital Road on Thursday night. The accused threatened the victim at gunpoint and snatched Rs.29,000 cash, gold rings and ornaments.

A businessman from Surat was robbed by four to five men at MB Hospital Road on Thursday night. The accused threatened the victim at gunpoint and snatched Rs.29,000 cash, gold rings and ornaments.

Victim Alpesh Jain has lodged a complaint at Hathipol Police Station. Police has launched manhunt by the information provided by Jain.

According to the report, Alpesh was heading towards Mavli in his car at late hours of Thursday. While passing through MB Hospital road, few men on two motorcycles blocked his way and forcefully took him to a restaurant at gunpoint. All the accused had liquor and asked Alpesh to pay the bill.

After finishing the treat, they took cash and ornaments from the victim and fled away threatening him not to inform the police.

However after getting freed from the robbers, Alpesh rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint. Police immediately sent alert to other teams and blocked all entries and exits of the city, however the accused are not caught yet.

Alpesh Jain is a businessman based in Surat and originally belongs to Bhilwara.
