Hathipol police with Special Task force in a raid detained a suspect who was carrying around 30 kg of silver ornaments. The police confiscated the ornaments from him under section 102 of CRPC after no valid document could be produced by the suspect.

The suspect, identified as Jitendra Kumar Dhadhich from Jodhpur was carrying the silver ornaments and moving towards Chetak Circle. The team got the tip-off from a source and upon reacting to it, Hathipol police along with the team of Special Task Force raided the area and found him with a bag.

The bag was checked which held the silver ornaments. The cops seized the silver articles as the suspect could not produce any valid document for the support of the same. The bag contained 28 kg and 700 gm of silver ornaments which included anklets (18 kg) and other remaining articles (10 kg), informed police.

During the initial interrogation it was found that the suspect used to supply the silver ornaments to the local jeweler of the city who run his business on a small scale, said police.

Cops including Goverdhan Singh Bhati, Prahlad, Yogesh, Yashpal, Salim, Akhilesh, Ganesh and Dharmendra collectively raided the area and detained the suspect who is being interrogated for further information, informed Hathipol police.
