More arrests followed today in sequence to the special drive being carried by the police team to capture suspects indulged in the business of illegal arms or possessing an illegal weapon. A taxi driver, resident of Kumharwara area of the city was arrested with a country made pistol today. Police received information that a suspect named Dharmendra Sahu will visit Nara Khara area early morning and will be carrying a pistol with him.
Surajpol Police Team raided the area and arrested Dharmendra with the weapon. In the initial interrogation, Dharmendra said that he bought the gun for rupees nine thousand and was looking for a customer to purchase it. Police is trying to know that from where and from whom did he purchase the pistol. Since the first week of February, he was the seventh accused who was arrested by Surajpol police under Arms Act.
