Illegal relations came out as the reason behind the murder of a 17-year old girl at Udiapol. The girl’s uncle confessed to killing her as she was threatening about disclosing their illicit relationship to her family members.

Dinesh Vagri (23), resident of Surajpol Kacchi Basti gave in during police interrogation and confessed to killing his niece. He confessed to having illegal relationship with her and killed her out of fear that she might disclose about the same to the family members. He was arrested and booked under the charge of murder.

The body of the deceased girl was found in mysterious circumstances on 3.7.13. A case was registered under section 174 CRPC and investigations initiated. Her post mortem report revealed that she died as a result of strangulation. Post this finding, another case was registered against unknown accused under section 302,201 of Indian Pinal Code, as per police.

On the basis of post mortem report, police investigation shifted towards her family members. The initial investigations threw suspicion around Dinesh and he was brought to police station where he accepted killing the girl. Dinesh also informed police that he killed the victim when she was sleeping at her house and after that he threw her body at a plot near his house.
