A group of men laced with swords, baseball bats and gun attacked two people at sector 11 today morning. The attackers fled away firing several rounds in the air, after the local shopkeepers approached to intervene the situation.

The victims Nirbhay Singh and his friend Sanju Singh, both working in Bajaj Finance received minor injuries. Nirbhay has identified the attackers as Arvind Koted, Raju Meena, Sheru Meena and Harish Meena.

According to Nirbhay, he had a small issue going on with one of the attackers Arvind Koted. The attack was persuaded as revenge.

Both Nirbhay and Sanju were having tea at a stall near Jawahar Jain School when Arvind and his accomplice loaded with weapons arrived on bikes and started beating the duo.

Nirbhay ran towards nearby building and while the group continued attacking both with baseball bats. Shopkeepers of the area came forward to stop the fight and catch the accused.

A businessman, Mahesh Trivedi (in photo above) who is also the President of Businessmen Association of the area was allegedly attacked by one of the suspects.

Before fleeing from the area, a suspect opened fire in air.

Although police has confirmed one fire, the locals and victims said that 2-3 rounds were fired by attackers.

Police team from Goverdhan Vilas, Hiran Magri and Pratap Nagar reached on the spot and started the investigation. The report is lodged at Goverdhan Vilas Police Station.

According to the sources, few days back, Nirbhay had a fight with Arvind over a petty issue. Police has identified Arvind as a college student but not confirmed other’s identities.

The eye witnesses found swords and baseball bats from the place which was given to the police.
