Gold and Silver ornaments worth lacs of rupees were stolen from a residence at Bedla’s Godawat Chowk when the family was fast asleep last night. The thieves probably entered the house from roof by climbing with the help of sanitary pipes. It is estimated that ornaments weighing 10-12 tolas are missing.

The victim, Dilip Singh, in his police report stated that he was sleeping in his first floor room while his sister was in the room situated at ground floor.

Thieves also locked the rooms from outside before fleeing from the place. The theft was discovered today morning.

Though the actual worth of missing items is yet to be ascertained, but sources claim that the worth could run in lacs of rupees.
