In an incident of theft at BHP leader Dinesh Bhatt’s house at Savina, Rs 7000 cash was stolen and the thieves got away in his car that was parked outside his residence. The stolen car was later found at sector 11.
The incident came to light when Dinesh Bhatt woke up at 4 am and discovered that the window of his house was broken and his car missing. Incidentally, around the same time, Bhatt got a call from his colleague informing him that his car was seen at Sector 11, near Indian Oil Depot.
Bhatt immediately informed police and rushed to the scene. In what appears to be the case, the thieves seem to have fled in Bhatt’s car after committing the theft. However, on their way, the thieves had raised suspicion of a police patrol that started following the car. Noticing this, the thieves banged the car on the roadside and fled the scene leaving the car behind.
After checking his belongings, Bhatt found Rs.7000, that was kept in his trouser pocket, missing.
