Thieves targeted the house of LIC India’s Branch Manager situated at Housing Board Colony, Sector 14 of Goverdhan Vilas on Thursday, in the absence of the owner and his family. The thieves stole away cash, ornaments and other valuables from the house.

Victim Mangi Lal who is posted at LIC India (Siphon Circle Branch) as Branch Manager had gone for a visit to his parental house at Pali and the house was vacant from last few days. On Friday morning, when his daughter returned home, she found the house ransacked by the accused, said Mangi Lal.

He further added that his daughter informed him of the mishap after which he rushed back to his house. He later found that the accused had stolen a laptop, LED TV, a computer hard disk, watches, silver coins, 1/2 kg silver ornaments and Rs. 25000 cash that were missing from the house. Surprisingly, the thieves had also stolen the keys of the car which was provided to him by the company.

The incidence was immediately reported to the Goverdhan Vilas police station and an investigation has been started.
