Narendra Dashora, a resident of Sector 3, Hiran Magri, was shocked to see his home ransacked yesterday when he came back from a long absence of 25 days. Around Rs.12,000 along with some gold and silver ornaments were found missing.

Dashora was out of town with his family and when he reached his home, he found the doors of his house lying all open and everything scattered inside. He rushed to check the safe and found that several ornaments, silver glasses, silver coins and Rs.12000 cash were missing. Dashora reported the incident to the police.

According to sources, most of the recent incidences of house break-ins have been committed when the house owners were out of the city. Locals should ideally assure the safety of their house by informing their neighbors or relatives to check the house often.
