Suspected thieves stole 18 tolas of gold ornaments and Rs.60000 cash from a house at Shakti Nagar area last night. During the incident, the family members were out to attend a marriage ceremony.

Girdhari Dudeja, owner of the house informed that, he and his family left the house at 10.30 pm and returned back at 1.45 am. Dudeja said that, he opened the main gate of the house but the second gate which directly opens in the living area was locked from inside.

Doubting the situation, Dudeja immediately entered the house through back door and found everything scattered all over the floor. Upon further checking, the gold ornaments and cash were missing.

Girdhari Dudeja who works at a private company informed police that, all stolen ornaments were of his daughter who came recently from her in laws to spend vacation.

He doubts this as an inside job because someone knew about their whereabouts and committed the crime in such a short span of 3 hours.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Goverdhanlal with SHO of Surajpol Police station Ramesh Kumar inspected the house and directed quick investigation.
