Two shops in the busy market of Hathipol were subjected to consecutive thefts in the last 24 hours.

Thieves stole Rs.2 Lac cash from a furniture shop and a bag shop in the area.  As per police, the thieves used bamboos as a bridge between an under construction building and the roof of one of the shops to get inside the premises.

Police informed that first the thieves entered a furniture shop owned by Amit Khatri and stole Rs.1 Lac cash.  Later they went inside the adjoining bag shop owned by Amir Ali Taj and took Rs.1.10 Lac cash.

The incidence came to light when both shop keepers opened their shops on Sunday morning.

Police has lodged the FIR from both victims and have started their investigations.
