An incident of theft has been reported in two temples, located in the same premises at Amedkar Colony, Sector-14, last night. Valuables of around Rs. 1 Lac have been stolen by suspected thieves. Goverdhan Vilas Police is investigating the case.

An incident of theft has been reported in two temples, located in the same premises at Amedkar Colony, Sector-14, last night. Valuables of around Rs. 1 Lac have been stolen by suspected thieves. Goverdhan Vilas Police is investigating the case.

According to sources, two temples: Ambe Mata Mandir and Ambeshwar Mahadev Mandir were raided by thieves after midnight of 24 September. 7 silver Chatras weighing around 1 kg, Rs. 15,000 cash, 2 amplifiers and few copper made idols are missing from Ambe Mata Mandir.

While, from Ambeshwar Mahadev Mandir, around Rs. 4,000 is stolen from the donation box.

Rajendra Gera, one of the committee members of Jai Ambe Seva Sankalp Samiti has told UT over telephonic conversation that, the incident was noted early morning today when he came for prayers.

“I came to the temple at around 5:30 in morning and noticed that everything is ransacked by thieves and valuables are missing, we immediately informed police”, said Gera.
