Theft of more than Rs. 25 Lacs from Judge’s House
In what could be said as one of the biggest ever reported burglary in a house, thieves stole 70-80 tola gold jewelry and 9kg silver ornaments worth more than Rs. 25 lacs and Rs.60 thousand cash.

The shocking incident occurred at the house of a District and Session Judge Prakashchand Pagaria, resident of Eklingnath Colony, Sector -4.
The incident came to light yesterday on 24th Jan when Pagaria and his family returned from Kota. The family was out of the city since 19th Jan.
According to Hiran Magri Police, the case has been registered and several teams consisting of number of police officials from all city police stations are going to investigate the case.
Superintendent of Police, Ajaypal Singh Lamba; Additional Superintendent of Police, Lakhman Singh and other police officials also inspected the place of theft.
The victim Prakashchand Pagaria is posted in Kota and left his house on 19th Jan with his family. Yesterday when they returned, they noticed that the main gate of the house was locked from inside while the other door was open and the lights inside the house were also on.
Nirmal Pagaria, son of Prakashchand informed that as soon as they went inside the house, they saw everything was lying scattered on floor and the cupboards were opened. In no time, the family realized that they had become a victim of theft.
Additional S.P Lakhman Singh told, “Several teams consisting of police officials from every city police stations have been made to investigate the case and we hope to nab the accused soon.”
Prakashchand Pagaria informed police that he doubts on some street hawkers of the area who knew that the family was out of the city. Police’s FSL team also arrived on the spot and took important clues to get some lead in the case.
This is the fifth case of theft in Hiran Magri area in last 6 days.
