A case of theft was registered at Sukher Police Station for a theft of more than Rs 50,000 at a house in the Shobhagpura area.

Khumani Bai w/o Devi lal Khatik, resident of Shobhagpura, lives in her house alone. Yesterday evening she went to a relative’s house for the Jaagran Night at Sevashram, Dore Nagar at around 7.30 pm. When she returned home today morning, she fainted after seeing the main gate open and everything in the room scattered.

Rs 20,000 cash and half a kilo of Silver ornaments, including antique jewelry of the old lady, have been reported stolen.

According to Jhula Chand, Son of the victim, “We are five bothers and staying at different places in Udaipur and our mother has been living alone in the house at Shobhagpura after our father’s death. There has been no past history of theft in the area in the last 7 years”.

The family members on receiving the information came to the house and registered a case of theft at the Sukher Police Station.
