Once again, Udaipur is witnessing a rise in incidents of house breaking and burglaries as, after the 3-4 uninterrupted incidents of theft occurred in past few days, two more cases of thievery have been reported yesterday at two different places in the city.

The first incident took place in an insurance company office situated at Delhi Gate, while in another case thieves targeted a house at sector-9; the owners were out to attend religious function.

According to the police, suspected thieves targeted an office of United Insurance Company and lifted cash amount of Rs. 33,463 from the safe. Thieves broke the lock of the main gate of office building to enter inside.

Yesterday morning at 9:30, when the office staff came for work, they saw the door left opened and immediately informed police.

In another case of burglary, thieves targeted house of Abid Hussain, resident of sector-9 Verma Colony. Abid was out with his family to attend Eid Milad procession in the city, when thieves got inside his house and stole gold and silver ornaments and Rs.40,000 cash.

When the family came back, they saw the main gate of the house opened, and things were scattered inside. They reported the incident to Police, and informed that 2 gold necklace, 4 gold bangles, 2 gold lockets, 2 gold chains, 2 gold rings, 4 silver anklets and forty thousand rupees cash are missing.
