In less than 24 hours of burglary worth lacs of rupees at Surajpol area, another theft of more than Rs. 11 Lac was reported at Saheli Nagar today late in the evening when the house owners were out.

Around 40 tola of gold jewelry, 6kg silver and Rs. 1.25 Lac cash is reported to have been stolen from the house of Murtaza Ali s/o Shabbir Hussain, resident of B-141 Saheli Nagar.

According to Murtaza Ali, his family went out at around 8:30 pm for outing. When they returned back at 10:15, they discovered that the house was completely ransacked; the main door including all four rooms were open and 8 lockers were completely cleaned up.

All gold and silver jewelries were stolen, however, the electronic items were left untouched.

Murtuza, who deals in commodity trade, rushed to Fatehpura police chowki and informed about the mishap. The case is lodged and police has started the investigation.
