Thieves targeted a house situated at Paneri Upvan, Fatehpura on Wednesday and fled away with gold ornaments worth Rs. 10 Lacs. The house was vacant for 3 hours during which the mishap occurred.

Victim Narendra Khed, retired school teacher reported the police that on Wednesday afternoon, the accused thieves forced entered his house at around 3 pm when he went for a visit to his doctor.

On his return, he found the lock of the main gate broken. Upon entering, the victim discovered that his house was ransacked by the thieves who stole 40 tola of gold ornaments worth Rs. 10 Lacs.

The victim filed an FIR against the accused thieves at Ambamata police station after which the investigation commenced, informed SHO Jitendra Anchlia, Ambamata police station.
