An incident of burglary from a car was reported last night in which, cash and jewelry were apparently stolen from the car parked outside Hotel Rani Village at Rani Road.

The thievery took place when the car owner, Sumatilal Jain, resident of Ahmedabad was attending a wedding ceremony with his family members. When he came to check his car, he discovered the theft.

The victim Bhawna w/o Bhupendra Jain informed police that she came to Udaipur from Ahmedabad on Monday evening with her father Sumati Lal Jain and other family members, to attend a marriage function at Hotel Rani Village.

When they returned back from the function they discovered that the lock of the car was broken and a gold necklace, pair of silver anklets, ten thousand rupees cash and a few artificial jewelry items were missing from the car.
