Thousands stolen from Donation Box of City Temple

Suspected thieves have stolen thousands of rupees from the donation box placed at Neemriya Ganpati Temple, one of the oldest temples of the city located at Bhattiyani Chohta. Just opposite to Ganpati Temple, another temple of Goddess Mahalaxmi was also targeted by thieves but they could not succeed.

Suspected thieves have stolen thousands of rupees from the donation box placed at Neemriya Ganpati Temple, one of the oldest temples of the city located at Bhattiyani Chohta. Just opposite to Ganpati Temple, another temple of Goddess Mahalaxmi was also targeted by thieves but they could not succeed.

The incident came to light today morning when the Pujari of the temple came early morning and noticed that the gates of the temple were open and the donation box was broken.

A Shiv Temple at Kishanpol was also subject to theft on March 31st when the thieves stole brass utensils from the temple.

On March 23, a Jain Temple at sector 5 was looted of thousands of rupees in cash from the donation box.

No arrests have been made in any of the cases as yet.
