In a tragic mishap that took place early Thursday morning, three brothers died after getting suffocated in their room that was closed from inside and didn’t have a window.

In a tragic mishap that took place early Thursday morning, three brothers died after getting suffocated in their room that was closed from inside and didn’t have a window.

The incidence came in light on Thursday morning at 7 when their mother Mamta went into the room to wake them up for school. She became worried when no reaction came from inside. She immediately called her husband and relatives who forced open the room and found them unconscious. The victim boys were rushed to the hospital where they were declared dead.

The victims identified as Karan (12), Sachin (10) and Girish (8) of Devrewali Gali, Krishnapura area under Bhopalpura Police station were students of nearby government school.

Mother of trio, Mamta informed that the boys had gone into their rooms last night at 10 PM. They took some burning charcoal inside considering the winter cold. They kept the charcoal on the wooden table and went off to sleep, shutting the door from inside.

She added that on Thursday morning they noticed that the table too had got burnt due to excessive heat of the charcoal and the room was filled with excessive smoke which led to suffocation and ultimately death.

The Bhopalpura police rushed to the scene upon information and started the investigation. In the initial investigation, it was found that the victim’s father Bhanwar Lal Gameti is a laborer and father of 4 including 3 sons and a daughter Anjali, said police.

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria on receiving the information reached the mortuary to meet the family of the deceased boys and paid condolences.
