The condition of property dealer Pankaj Bansal, who was brutally attacked by some people on April 30, is still said to be critical. Bansal is undergoing treatment in the surgical ward of MB Hospital, Udaipur.

Pankaj (35) was attacked Monday evening near his office at Bhupalpura when he was returning home in his car. The miscreants forced their way into Bansal’s car and tried to kidnap him, but when Bansal retaliated he was allegedly assaulted by sharp weapons.

It is believed that land dispute could be the reason behind the attack.

“He is under observation, we cannot say anything for the next 48 hours,” said the doctor in the ICU ward.

Rajkumar Bansal, the victim’s brother, lodged a complaint against some people following which three persons were reportedly detained by the police today though no official confirmation towards this could be obtained.
