Based on the information from the sources, Hathipol police succeeded in nabbing the trio of accused from Mohta Park area where they were planning to steal sandalwood trees. During the interrogation, the accused accepted stealing wood from sector 14, Eklingpura, Pula, Bedla, Sukher and Sisarma.

The accused were identified as Tejaram alias Teja, Limba Ram and Nakka Gameti from Dodavali area, Nai. They further claimed that they had sold the entire quantity of stolen sandalwood to Ahsaan of Karwadi, who is on the run since he received the information of the trio accused being caught, police added.

Station House Officer Rajesh Sharma said that a team of Hathipol police consisting of ASI Itwari Lal and constables Manoj & Bhanwar Lal conducted the raid at Mohta park, based on a tip off and are actively keeping an eye on suspects to gain more information about sandalwood theft in the city.

Police is now conducting raids at various hide outs of Ahsaan and the interrogation of the three accuse is still on.
