Trio accused of Murder for Loot of elderly woman arrested
Udaipur police busted 4th incidence of murder for loot after the trio, involved in the murder of an old woman who was targeted by them for her ornaments on 14th April and was left with both her feet chopped off was arrested.
Udaipur police busted 4th incidence of murder for loot after the trio, involved in the murder of an old woman who was targeted by them for her ornaments on 14th April and was left with both her feet chopped off was arrested. Police also confiscated the looted ornaments of the victim from the accused and booked them under various section of IPC.
The arrested accused were identified as Mohan Kalbelia (23), Bhura Kalbelia (22) and Lalu Kalbelia (24) of Bhesda Kala Village. During investigation of the murder of Nani Bai which took place on 14th April, the names of the trio came in light based on some clues. The team raided at different areas and on Tuesday nabbed the trio, said SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal.
SP further said that the looted ornaments were confiscated from Madan Mehta to whom the trio had mortgaged against cash of Rs. 7000. Similarly, the trio confessed committing another such loot & murder of elderly woman Udi Bai of Sakroda Village on 2nd May. Police is interrogating them further to recover the ornaments of the other woman.
The repeated cases of murder tensed the villages which is why the cases were taken into priority by the special cops including SHO Pratap Nagar Manjeet Singh, SHO Abdul Rehman, Badri Lal and Sureshchand of Special Task Force under the leadership of AdSP Anant Kumar and DySP Madhuri Verma, informed SP.
