With the swift move of the Udaipur police a trio of robbers was arrested successfully while they were attempting to rob an ATM booth at Mavli police station circle on Friday night.

The trio was spotted by the night patrolling team who later nabbed the accused in a chase which continued for more than 4 hours. The trio was spotted by the night patrolling team of Mavli police on Friday night while they were trying to break the ATM machine of Syndicate bank.

Seeing the police team one of the offenders, standing inside the ATM booth and two standing outside fled from the scene, leaving the ATM machine partially broken, Station House Officer of Mavli police station Rajendra Kumar said.

Kumar further said that on Friday night he himself rushed to the crime scene with his team of 20 policemen who searched for the trio and finally nabbed them. The 3 arrested accused were identified as Rashid Husain (20) of Kankroli, Gulam Husain (21) and Yogesh (18) of Rajsamand district.

SHO also added that the police have recovered some tools and an iron rod from the ATM booth that were seized and the interrogation of the arrested accused is still going on.
