A 25 year old truck driver was brought to the M.B hospital at around 11.30PM last night after being shot at Rishabdev area national highway no.8. He was on his way towards Mumbai from Delhi, when the incident occured 8 kms from Kherwara.

 

A 25 year old truck driver was brought to the M.B hospital at around 11.30PM last night after being shot at Rishabdev area national highway no.8. He was on his way towards Mumbai from Delhi, when the incident occured 8 kms from Kherwara.

Truck driver Yakub s/o Sulemaan is a resident of Neu Village, Haryana. The incident took place while he was driving his truck towards Kherwara, when four unidentified people in a white Scorpio car tried to stop the truck.

They fired at Yakub and ran away, leaving him seriously injured. The driver was then rushed in a 108 Ambulance to a nearby hospital, but later referred to MB Hospital.

According to the police the accused were in a white colored Scorpio car. The Police were informed by the people passing by and after getting the information they immediately arrived at the scene of the crime, and arranged road blockade around the area.

As the victim is not yet in a fully conscious state, the reason of the firing is yet not clear.

UPDATE [08-09-12]: Shava s/o Kanti, resident of Ghati Pahada Village was arrested today by the Police in case from Kalu Beda Village.
