Working against the circulation of intoxicants in the city Udaipur police succeeded in arresting 2 accused and seized 25 grams of Smack from their custody.

Both the accused were caught by Surajpol police at Udiapol bus stand on Tuesday. When seeing the team of cops they tried to escape but were caught. During the search of their clothes police found a plastic bag containing a brown colored powder which later was identified as Smack. Upon asking about possessing it In their custody both of them could not give a satisfactory reply. Both the accused were arrested and brought to police station for interrogation, said police.

Both the accused were identified as Bharat Meena (23) of Arnod area of Pratapgarh District and Farooq alias Bhuru (24) of Mahavarwadi area of Udaipur. In the preliminary interrogation the accused revealed that they had purchased the smack from a drug dealer Ajab Khan of Pratapgarh, surajpol police informed.

Both the accused were booked under section 8/21 of NDPS Act and were produced in court from where they were sent under Police custody remand. Cops are now interrogating the duo accused to collect more information about the nexus.
