Two people are arrested by Surajpol Police today for alleged assault and loot that occurred yesterday with a visitor from Dungarpur.

Sanjay, alias Chotu, resident of Sundervas and Bunty Meghwal, resident of Khempura are arrested for allegedly assaulting and robbing Dilip Patidar, resident of Dungarpur.

According to police, Dilip arrived in Udaipur yesterday, when he got down from bus at Udiapol, Sanjay and Bunty forcibly took him to a liquor shop at Sundervaas area and from there on took him to a deserted place, where the duo assaulted Dilip and robbed cash amount from him before fleeing.

Dilip rushed to Surajpol Police Station and lodged an FIR. In the initial investigation, police identified the accused and arrested them today.
