Shaheen, resident of Pannadhay Marg, opposite Hotel Mewar Darshan was arrested and a pistol obtained from his person by the Ambamata Police. Shaheen was accused by his namesake, Shaheen resident of Rajnagar of firing a bullet and attacking him.
This incident occurred at Pushp Vatika on 2nd April, when Shaheen from Rajnagar was fired upon and the attackers fled. Shaheen blamed his namesake belonging to Udaipur and filed an FIR with the Police. The Police getting into action, arrested the accused and on interrogation, it was found that Shamsher Khan, resident of Mahavatwari had given him the pistol. Shamsher was also arrested later today.
The dispute, as per information made available by the Police, related to Shaheen’s (accused) sister. She was married of to a person named Anees,who died sometime back. Firoz, brother of Anees refused to give the widow of his brother her share in property. This dispute, which had been going on for sometime, resulted in the firing incident yesterday.
