Pratap Nagar police arrested two thieves accused of stealing cash Rs. 38,000 from an SBBJ Bank ATM situated in that area in January 2015 and had fled towards Bhilwara. Both were arrested on Production warrant from Bhilwara jail.

Pratap Nagar police arrested two thieves accused of stealing cash Rs. 38,000 from an SBBJ Bank ATM situated in that area in January 2015 and had fled towards Bhilwara. Both were arrested on Production warrant from Bhilwara jail.

Accused Neeraj Singh Gurjar (24) and his aid Sachin Malik (21) had committed the theft in January 2015 and were attempting another theft of stealing cash from the ATM booth while they got caught by the police.

A team of Pratap Nagar police received the news of them nabbed and rushed to Bhilwara to arrest the duo on production warrant, said SHO Pratap Nagar police- Chandra Purohit.

The accused revealed that they used a sticky substance fixed on the ‘enter’ button of the machine. Once the victim, checked out of the ATM booth after transacting money, the accused used their password to withdraw another amount of cash.

The search for the duo was on since a victim Kishan Singh of Vijanvas village had lodged a report against an unknown accused for withdrawing cash from his bank account using his ATM pin, SHO informed.

Police recovered Rs. 37,000 cash out of the total stolen from the ATM machine using Kishan’s ATM pin falsely and the interrogation is still going on to disclose any more similar incidences of theft.
