Two Dozen Women become victims of another Financial Fraud

Nearly two dozen women approached ICICI Bank’s Bedla Branch today and complained against a woman who took several loans totaling upto Rs.18-20 Lac on their names. The accused used to give professional training of stitching under an NGO.

Nearly two dozen women approached ICICI Bank’s Bedla Branch today and complained against a woman who took several loans totaling upto Rs.18-20 Lac on their names. The accused used to give professional training of stitching under an NGO.

A police report was also lodged against the accused woman who allegedly took large amount of loan by submitting loan application forms signed by 27 women, all residents of Village Gorela, Sajjan Nagar. The accused woman used to give them professional stitching courses.

Almost all the victim women are not much literate and said that the accused woman often made them sign on bank papers and withdrew lacs of amount on their names.

Bank officials said that they will check upon the complaints and if any misappropriation found, the bank will take legal action against the accused.

One of the victims said, “The accused woman used to take them to bank individually and always made them wait outside the bank. She also used to ask them to sign on bank documents and whenever we asked her, she said that it is a paper regarding special schemes and we will get good returns.”

The incident came to light when one of the victim’s husband doubted and followed her wife and the accused woman till the bank.

Victim said, “I was standing outside the bank when my husband came and we both went inside. When enquired with the bank employees, we came to know that a loan of Rs.2.5 Lac was sanctioned on my name but we never received the amount.”

Sukher Police Station has lodged the report against the accused identified as Nasreen and another man Vijay Singh.
