Two houses were simultaneously targeted by thieves on Saturday night where cash and ornaments were stolen while the owners were not present in the house.

Two houses were simultaneously targeted by thieves on Saturday night where cash and ornaments were stolen while the owners were not present in the house.

The accused had entered the house of victim Hatim Husain Faizi and his neighbor Salma Faizi of Arora Nagar near Kharol Colony on Saturday when both of the owners weren’t at home. The accused stole away Rs. 40-50000 cash and 7-8 tolas of gold ornaments from the almirahs, informed one of the neighbors.

The scene came in light on Sunday morning when the neighbors found the gates of both the houses left open. They discovered the almirahs broke open and the houses were ransacked by the accused. Later, the police was informed about the mishap and report was lodged at Ambamata Police Station.

In charge of Fatehpura Chowki, Shambhoo Nath told UT that more information about the house and theft will be disclosed once the owners of the house will return who are presently in USA and Gujarat.
