Two people were arrested under the charges of stealing sandalwood from the premises of a temple near UIT Bridge. The accused Shahid alias Asrani from Karwadi and Mustakeem from Raza Colony were arrested yesterday by Surajpol Police.

Names of the both accused were revealed by Madan during interrogation. Madan was arrested earlier by Hathipol Police.

Madan informed police that both Shahid and Mustakeem were involved in the sandalwood theft. Both of the accused also stole sandalwood from Gulab Bagh.

Police is now trying to recover the stolen wood and also trying to get the names of more people involved in the crime.
