With the arrest of 2 notorious thieves and the recovery of more than 20 kilo Silver articles, Udaipur police on Thursday claimed to have busted a massive incidence of theft. Both the accused are under police interrogation but one of their aid is still absconding.

With the arrest of 2 notorious thieves and the recovery of more than 20 kilo Silver articles, Udaipur police on Thursday claimed to have busted a massive incidence of theft. Both the accused are under police interrogation but one of their aid is still absconding. 

The duo identified as Kalu and Shiv Singh of Jhadol Village were arrested by the police on Thursday after their names got exposed during the investigation of a case of theft occurred a year back at Kanchan Bai’s house situated at Jhadol.

The police were also succeeded in recovering the stolen silver ornaments weighing around 2 kilograms worth Lac rupees. During the police interrogation, the accused also revealed that they had sold 160 grams of gold ornaments to Bhupendra of Goverdhan Vilas area who was however, not found at his house when the police raided it upon getting his name, Informed SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal.

In the initial interrogation the arrested accused Kalu and Shiv Singh informed the police that Kalu used to keep a check on the victim woman and after recce of few days, executed the theft along with one of their aids Jagdish who was previously arrested, SP Goyal said.

Both the accused are still under police interrogation and the efforts to nab the absconding accused are also on, S.P said.
