Controlling the growing number of crimes in the city, police arrested 98 accused in a sudden raid conducted in the different areas of the city.

Most of the accused are wanted in offences like thefts and burglary while others were arrested in Excise Act etc.

According to the official press release by the police department, the raid started early morning at 5 which continued till late afternoon. 98 people were arrested.

The action was taken under the direction of S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba. Police team consisted of Dy SP and SHOs of different zones and areas were divided and started raiding all together.
