A Police team is expected to leave for Mumbai soon to question the Bollywood Actor Sunil Shetty on the complaint registered by the producer from Udaipur, Hemendra Singh Solakni who had signed the actor for his upcoming movie ‘Mumbai Kiski Hai’.
Today, the cops collected evidence in the form of bank records which supported the claim of the victim producer that he actually paid the amount of Rs 21 lacs. The producer mentioned in his statement, that Sunil Shetty was refusing to work in the movie after taking the amount.
“Initially the charge appears genuine, however before we interrogate Shetty, we have to get some more evidence, records and statements of the stakeholders involved,’ said Vraddhi Chand the SHO of Hiran Magri Police Station.
The police has dispatched a summon to Babul Bhatt, the film director who is expected to arrive here soon from Aurangabad.
The victim, Solanki also claimed that, the production work which was scheduled to start in August 2013 was delayed for 8 months due to Shetty’s attitude which has incurred heavy financial loss to him.
“The script, cast, production team and shooting locations were finalized, songs recordings had been done and it was only because of Shetty, that we were unable to start the shooting,” said Solanki.
The producer of the movie also informed that the lead actress of the movie is 19 year old Cynthia Vimal, while Babu Bhatt is the director. “Shetty treated us like puppets and interfered in almost all aspect of the movie,” he added.
“I have already suffered a huge financial loss, due the delay in shooting as all the team members have been paid in advance,” Solanki added.
Solanki states that he wants his money back with interest and compensation for loss done to him.
