Looking at the increase in smuggling of Doda Post, the Udaipur Police has joined hands with its counterparts in Jodhpur and Ajmer to launch a task force to curb smuggling.

This was one of the assignments informed by IG (Law and Order) Hawa Singh Ghumaria when he addressed a Press Conference at Jaisalmer on Tuesday.

Ghumaria added that his force will make all efforts to clean Rajasthan of drug smuggling.  The first step will be to ensure that doda post and other narcotics do not come into Rajasthan from other states.

He also informed that a task force will be made under DGP to look into preparing an action plan towards curbing accidents and mishaps on roads in Rajasthan.  The alarming increase in road accidents in the state has called for such a measure. The action plan will be formed after the team visits the recurring accident spots.

The ADG (Law and Order) will lead the task force that will hand over its report to reduce accidents and this will help in preparing the action plan. The police department will also conduct and awareness campaign to curb accidents.
