Udaipur police arrested nearly a dozen accused with illegal weapons and bullets in a single day and booked them under Arms Act. All these accused were nabbed during the special drive of District Superintendent of Police against the circulation of illegal weapons in the city.

Two accused were arrested by Ambamata police for threatening a man. One the of the accused, Zuber(22) Alias Bittu was arrested  from Church Road at 12.15pm while the other one, Manjur Shah (28) was arrested at 1 pm from Rani Road this afternoon, as per Adsp City Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj.

In another incidence, an accused was arrested by police with illegal pistol from Sector 9 Hiran Magri area near a scrap shop. He was identified as Akash Harijan (24) of Savina. He tried escaping from the scene after seeing the police but was caught and arrested.

An absconding accused of firing at Farooq-E-Azam colony, Imran Husain alias Kunjara and Muzzafar Alias Goga were also arrested today by the police at Hamirgarh (Gujarat) with the help of the local police. Both the accused were on run since last Sunday after they allegedly committed an incidence of firing. Both the accused are habitual criminals and are having a number of cases registered on their names. Moreover, Imran is a History Sheeter, informed ADSp City.

During search of their clothes, police seized 2 pistol and 10 live bullets. Two more accused that are wanted in the incidence of firing, Mohammad Husain and Mushtaq somehow escaped from the scene, as per Adsp City Udaipur.

Sukher Police also contributed in the drive against illegal weapon as yesterday the team arrested five boys from Chirva Ghata area with illegal fire arms and sharp weapons. All the accused were arrested on the information of sources and police seized 2 illegal pistols and 2 swords. Police has also seized a motor bike from these accused, said ADsp city.

All the accused were identified as Saddam Kankroli, Irfan Khan, Sohel Akhtar Alias Sonu. All these were said to be associates of history sheeter Imran Kunjara, as per Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj, Adsp City.

All the accused were arrested by the efforts of the police team consisting of Dysp east Goverdhan Lal, Dysp Murlidhar, SHO Ambamata Police Station, Shiv Prakash, SHO  Hiran Magri Police Station, Vardichand and SHO Sukher Police Station. The whole team worked under the supervision of Adsp City and the drive was initiated by District S.P Ajaypal Lamba.
