Under Trial prisoner dies during treatment

A prisoner of Udaipur Jail undergoing trial died on Friday while he was being treated at MB Hospital for his cardiac problem that he was suffering from since Wednesday. The relatives of the deceased inmate blame the jail administration for being negligent towards their man’s health.

Laluram (38) of Rebario Ka Guda, an under trial prisoner in a case of murder, suffered a cardiac problem on Wednesday while he was at Rajsamand court for a trial. He was rushed back to the MB Hospital for the treatment and was admitted to the cardiology ward. After critical condition here, he was referred to Jaipur where he passed away during treatment on Friday, relatives of Lalu said.

But on the other side relatives of the prisoner are claiming that he died due to negligence of the jail administration in providing him proper treatment at the right time. They also claimed that if Lalu’s condition was critical he could have been shifted to a private hospital instead of being referred to another city which consumed time and delay.

Meanwhile when the Superintendent of Udaipur jail Prita Bhargav was contacted she denied from having much information of the case.
