The 4th July 2013 incident of a half burnt unidentified male body found on NH76, which had become a serious matter of concern for the Police have now been solved conclusively.

Pratap Nagar police have claimed to solve the case by arresting two persons, Bheem Singh, resident of Bhopa Magri and Santosh Sahu, resident of Gokulpura, University road, yesterday on charges of killing Roshanlal Meena, who had been identified earlier on 27th July.

It so happened that the Police had circulated the pictures of the half burnt body across all police stations in the city. On 27th July, Veera Meena his wife Urmila and his son Manoj contacted the Ghanta Ghar Police and identified the body as his son, Roshan who had gone missing since 4th July, for which Veera had submitted a missing person report to the Ghanta Ghar Police station. Veera identified his sons body on the basis of the clothes he was wearing.

Veera informed the police that Roshan had gone with the two Bheem Singh and Santosh Sahu saying that they were going to Kapasan for some work on 4th July. When there was no news of Roshan after 7 days, Veera reported the missing person case at the Police station.

Based on these loose strings, the Police immediately came into action and a investigation team was formed under the directions of the SP. They arrested Bheema and Santosh and during interrogation they confessed that they had murdered Roshan and thrown his half burnt body on NH76.

Though the identification has been resolved, murder charges have been booked, but there is still a lot more to this story, which the Police are investigating.
