Continuing the investigation of a woman accused in extortion and blackmailing businessmen, the police on Friday arrested the woman and her associate Ahmed on production warrant and started the investigation.

In the initial probing, the police could manage to retrieve the objectionable video clip from her flat considering it to be vital evidence, said DySP Madhuri Verma.

The accused revealed that they used to target the high profile, financially sound people of the city for her to commit the crime. Her associate Ahmed used to bring the clients to her flat situated near Goverdhan Sagar while they executed the misdeed, informed Verma.

 The police learnt that the accused used to place the mobile phone in between a rack of books with the video recorder on. It was shocking to know that the accused had been executing the extortion and blackmailing for the last 10 years with the help of her two aids Ahmed and Mehmood, said DySP.

Mehmood is still on the run, who is a driver for which the police are investigating.
