An accused in the Firing on a local businessman Sanjay Bhandari, was caught yesterday by the Surajpol Police under another case, which was registered in the recent past against him.

According to Police, Praveen Vaishnav s/o Prabhulal Vaishnav who was allegedly involved in the Firing on Sanjay Bhandari case got caught on Monday 9 Oct in a case registered recently against him by Mahendra Jain s/o Bheru Lal Jain for threatening.

Praveen and Mahendra were once business partners, but then dissolved the business partnership after running it for some time.

According to police, nine months ago, Praveen started threatening Mahendra, and Mahendra in-turn lodged a complaint against him at the Surajpol Police Station. After a few months silence, Praveen again rang up Mahendra and this time threatened him with life, as a means of revenge since Mahendra filed a case against him.

Police caught Praveen today from a locality near Ayad and currently he is in Police custody. Police will first interrogate him in the current case and then in the Sanjay Bhandari case.

UPDATE: Praveen Vaishnav was presented in the court today, where he was sent on two day remand. The mobile used by Praveen to call Mahendra is yet to be seized by Police.
