Amjad Ali, resident of Itali, Vallabhnagar, was looted by an auto rickshaw driver, as per the report lodged at the Hathipol Police Station.

As per Amjad, he had come to Udaipur with the intention of depositing his installments in Kotak Mahindra Bank, Madhuban.  Amjad arrived at the bus stand and took an auto to Madhuban.  The auto had another person sitting next to the driver.

All this while he had a sum of Rs. 15600, which he needed to pay as installment, in his hand.  The auto driver and his accomplice had their eyes on the cash in Amjad’s hand.   When the auto reached Kotak, Amjad took out cash to pay the fare.    When he did this, the auto driver snatched the lump sum cash from his hand and fled.

Soon after the incident, the victim rushed to Hathipol Police Station and lodged an FIR against the accused.  Police said they have started the investigation of the matter on the basis of the information provided by the victim and have assured that they will nab the culprit soon.
