Vegetable market of Pratap Nagar witnessed chaos when a vegetable seller was shot by an unidentified assailant. The shocking incident took place on Sunday evening. The victim, who sustained severe injury, was rushed to a private hospital.

According to police, “Rahul Teli, a local vegetable seller was sitting on his shop with his brother when a man came to the shop and attacked Rahul. The assailant shot at his head causing severe injuries.”

Rahul’s brother tried to catch the attacker but he fled away in an auto rickshaw. A large number of local traders gathered at the place. Soon the police team from Pratap Nagar police station also reached the spot and rushed the victim to a private hospital.

The condition of the victim is said to be critical, as per the information received last night. Doctors were trying to take out the bullet from victim’s head.

As per police, the investigation is already started and a manhunt has been launched to nab the attacker.
