In a complex case, Udaipur Police brought two thieves to Protection custody today, from Dungarpur Police, where they are accused of car theft from Udaipur.

According to Police, they got the tip about Akil aka Altaf s/o Kannudin Mansoori, resident of Nikhumb, Chittor and Bhawani Singh s/o Mahendra Singh, resident of Kharedia, Dabesar stealing a Bolero from Kotwali Circle and selling it in Kheroda.  The Police nabbed the duo and took them in for interrogation.

Whilst interrogation, they also revealed looting a Maruti 800 car from Udaipur, which was being used by Akil by changing its number plate.

Dungarpur Police informed Udaipur Police and a team from Udaipur went and brought both the accused on Protection Warrant and seized the Maruti 800.

Police also found out that the complaint of the same Maruti 800 been stolen was lodged at Surajpol Police station by Rajesh Kumar Ostwal, resident of Shivaji Nagar, Udaipur.
