A notorious criminal of Haryana was arrested by Goverdhan Vilas Police with large number of arms and ammunition under his possession. The arrest was made during police patrolling at Balicha Bypass.

According to SHO Ganeshram of Goverdhan Vilas Police Station, the patrolling team arrested Sunil Singh Valmiki, resident of Rewari, Haryana and his driver Pawan Khatik while they were travelling in a TATA Sumo vehicle. Police also arrested three people accompanying them in the car.

Police found one pistol, two loaded magazines and 20 live cartridges from Sunil while one pistol, one loaded magazine and 5 cartridges from Pawan. Both are booked under Arms Act.

Three other people including Shashi Bhushan, Ajit Yadav and Sandeep Yadav are also arrested. During interrogation, they revealed that they are all scrap traders and hired TATA Sumo from Rewari to Ahmedabad.

They said that they were not aware of the driver (Pawan) and his accomplice Sunil are carrying arms with them.

Udaipur police informed their counterparts in Haryana about Sunil’s arrest. As per police Sunil is a wanted criminal of Rewari and has 12 cases of murder, attempt of murder, abduction and assault on his name. His brother was murdered in a gang war in August this year.

A police team from Rewari is on the way to Udaipur to interrogate the accused.
