A suspected woman thief was caught with stolen items while she was fleeing from a cloth shop with few other women. The woman was handed over to the police and stolen clothes were seized.
The incident occurred today afternoon at Bhopalpura area on a readymade garment shop owned by Naresh Rajpal. The suspected woman and her gang are believed to be active in the area and also attempted theft in the same shop before.
According to Naresh, today when he was returning back from market, he saw a group of women getting in an unnumbered auto rickshaw. On suspicion, Naresh grabbed one woman while other managed to flee. Some ladies garments and few bed sheets worth Rs. 10-15 thousand were found from the woman’s custody.
Naresh with the help of other shopkeepers of the area caught the lady and called police.
Naresh left his shop on a girl attendant. That time the gang of women entered inside the shop and started seeing clothes by their own. The salesgirl got confused and then the suspected women grabbed clothes and rushed outside the shop where an auto rickshaw was waiting for them.
Police has arrested the woman and the auto rickshaw driver and confiscated the stolen items.
One of the neighbors of Naresh and Owner of Swastik Dry cleaners also added, “It is the same gang of women who had stolen sarees from his shop 20 days ago.”
Sukher Police has lodged the case and started interrogating the accused.
