A case of alleged fraud has been registered against two people including a woman at Goverdhan Vilas Police Station on 20th Nov in the evening for having a passport made on the basis of fake documents.

The accused woman identified as Muskan, resident of Himachal Pradesh and presently staying at Hiran Magri Sector-14 had made the passport and cleared the Police Verification procedure on fake documents she submitted with the help of another accused, Bharat Sharma.

Police noticed the allegedly forgery after an unknown person informed the police about the matter.  More shocking is that Muskan has already travelled to a foreign country on that passport.

According to police, Muskaan had applied for a passport via the internet (online application) and for that purpose she had also given all the required academic documents at Goverdhan Vilas Police Station duly attested by the District Education Officer, Udaipur.

Bahrat Sharma has allegedly provided a character certificate to her that was also submitted with other documents.

The tenth class mark sheet of Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education submitted by Muskan was found fake as the name and roll number in the mark sheet is not available with the authorities at Himachal Pradesh.

Police said that, “there was neither a mark sheet with such roll numbers, nor the registration numbers exist with Himachal Pradesh Board.”

On this, police has registered a case against Muskaan for cheating and Bahrat Sharma for helping her in preparing the passport on fake documents.
